For years and years I talked with every country singer I could, and some of them did allow me to pitch my songs. Most of these I talked with at Six Flags Over Mid-America between shows. Occassionally some would take a copy of my tape with them. I had a few of my songs published and recorded on independent labels but nothing really major . . . yet. So I'm interested in other songwriters' experiences and would welcome your comments
Basically it is VERY difficult to get people to listen to your songs.
Probably because there is just so much out there now, a lot of it is real quality, but unfortunately there is a lot of stuff that isn't.
I would just say keep plugging away...
