I started writing songs about 40 years ago, but haven't done much lately. I keep jotting down song title ideas, but because I am now committed to marketing my second novel, I have put songwriting on the back burner.
I did learn a lot over the years about promoting songs. It seems nowadays that the producers all want singer-songwriters for songs they accept. I couldn't carry a tune in a bushel basket (although I love to sing) so where does that leave me?
What have you encountered while trying to promote your songs? Any ideas for other songwriters?
